Brief message:
I like my classes to have a warm, relaxed atmosphere where students feel confident speaking in English.  I encourage my students to speak as much as they can and not be afraid of making mistakes.  I base my lessons around real-life situations and use as much natural language as possible, so you can practice more effectively and much more enjoyably.  I'm looking forward to teaching you!  Mark.
Personal history:
I grew up in Manchester, England before studying Economics and Management at university.  After university I went travelling around the world and came to Japan for the first time - I did a one month homestay in Kyoto.  After my trip I decided Japan was the most interesting place I had been, so I came back to teach English - just for six months I thought.  That was five years ago and I'm still here!
I have taught business English in many companies around Kansai, including Mitsubishi Electric, Sanyo, Nintendo, Zojirushi, and AIG.  I have also taught English conversation in several schools around the world, including Manchester University in the United Kingdom and Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto.
In my free time I love to play football and do outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling.  Last summer I cycled around Hokkaido for two weeks.  I also enjoy listening to music and eating too many sweets.
